Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.
The Data Program delivers reliable relevant timely and accurate information to support better business decisions through solutions that align with our corporate strategies. This position is within the Operational Reporting area of the Data Program. Responsibilities day-to-day will vary, but will include:
Attending team meetings, standups, sprint ceremonies, and code reviews.
Review report requests, profile data, and determine best approach for delivering the request.
Development of reports, including the backend development (stored procedures written in SQL), frontend development (.rdl in Visual Studio), and unit testing.
Collaborate with other report developers, end users, and testers as requests flow through our process.
Documentation of reports, including entity relationship diagrams and models.
Review and investigation of unplanned work items including communicating findings back to team and end users.
Assisting with quality assurance (QA) of reports.
Creating, monitoring, and maintaining report subscriptions.
Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related degree and in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of school.
Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application.
Demonstrate an aptitude for technical learning. Preference for knowledge in these areas:
Technical understanding of database management systems.
Know and understand computer language(s).
Understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills showing collaboration with others and building effective relationships.
Ability to effectively problem solve both alone and in a team setting.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all Daktronics information.
