Daktronics—the worldwide industry leader in LED displays—has an internship opening for an upcoming Graphic Design professional. Daktronics provides vast opportunities to develop marketing materials that reach throughout the United States and internationally.
Internship runs January 9, 2017-August 11, 2017.
Daktronics designs, manufactures, sells and services a variety of LED display products through different markets and business units. One business unit, Live Events and Spectaculars (LE&S), whose customers range from professional sport facilities to businesses on a global scale, has opened up a Graphic Design/Marketing internship within their team. This team is responsible for creating marketing materials and sales collateral that help our sales staff secure orders. This internship would primarily focus on assisting the International market with their marketing needs and then assisting Live Events as needed.
Working with a team of marketing professionals, this candidate will gain experience to jumpstart his or her career.
Marketing Materials – Using Daktronics existing brand guidelines, create compelling marketing materials such as brochures, convention signage, advertisements, flyers, proposals, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Account Services – maintain relationships with Daktronics sales representatives and customers.
Must be a senior student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Would prefer a graphic design applicant who will have graduated prior to starting the Internship.
Internship runs from January 2017 through August 2017, Must be able to commit to work 40 hours per week for a 7-month time period.
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this internship.
Top notch design skills.
Advanced understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. Experience in Photography, Microsoft Office and HTML are a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Demonstrate ability and desire to accept responsibility and take initiative.
Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
Accept direction and instruction from marketing team.
Must have an acceptable GPA.
Background check may be conducted.
Fluent in English; both written and verbal.
