Internship runs January 2017 through August 2017.
As a Daktronics intern, you will get an opportunity to shadow an experienced Daktronics engineer and apply classroom knowledge. We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual who is not only interested in developing professionally, but also drawn to being able to play an active role developing the next generation of Systems. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position include:
Prototype and verify new designs.
Test and troubleshoot existing designs.
Design and implement test fixtures and procedures.
Documentation to support designs, fixtures and procedures.
Perform customer service functions.
Work with little supervision. Complete quality work in a timely manner. Communicate effectively.
Work as an effective team member.
Be at work on time and maintain good attendance. Follow Company guidelines and policies.
Perform other projects and duties as needed to meet customer expectations.
Undergraduate student in junior or senior year of their Bachelor’s degree program, or recent graduate, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Required to take a semester off from classes. Internship runs January 2017 to August 2017. Work through the Cooperative Education/Internship Program at accredited university and Faculty Coordinator to arrange for credit while participating in this 7-month internship.
Required GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Dedication and desire for quality performance.
Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
Ability to communicate well with others via written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with odors (solder/coating).
Planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Fluent in English, written and verbal.
Background check will be conducted.
