Salary Range CG HH:  $16.12 – $23.03/hour

12 months, 100% time


Job Responsibilities:  Administer and oversee the National Science Foundation EPSCoR RII Track-1 Award to South Dakota and its state funded and institutional cost-share, and oversight of the activities of the SD EPSCoR office.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:  Grant and budget management; office administration; and computer software applications and systems.

Ability to: Compile, establish, and analyze budget information; implement, administer, coordinate and monitor activities; act as a liaison among program professionals; prepare reports and narratives; negotiate contracts with outside organizations; interpret, explain and apply rules and regulations, policies and procedures; direct campus coordinators and participants in completion of reporting templates and report requirements; ensure compliance with federal OMB guidelines on grant administration both at SDSU and at the thirteen partner institutions; monitor grant and sub-award activities; interpret grant requirements; monitor fund accounts and recommend spending actions; facilitate reports among multiple projects and multiple (nine) institutions and state (two) organizations; submit proposals; communicate clearly and concisely, with the private sector, regional institutions, private colleges, tribal colleges, state government, NSF and DOE; and prioritize work to meet competing deadlines.

Comments:  Knowledge of Banner grant management, accounts payable, purchasing and HR modules is essential.  Exceptional organizational, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with high attention to details are preferred.  This is a grant-funded position and continuation beyond August 2019 is contingent upon the availability of funding.  Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
