Salary Range CG EH: $11.36 – $16.71/hour

Job Responsibilities: Perform skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance work in all facilities under the control of University Housing/Residential Life.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of: Plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general building repair; safe use of power and hand tools; hot water heating and air conditioning; and computer systems and applications.
Ability to: Service, repair and replace equipment with electrical drive motors; repair and replace parts in electrical ranges, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, exhaust fans, ventilation fans and all types of floor equipment; repair and replace all types of electrical light fixtures; repair and replace window screens, weather-stripping and balance springs; build, repair, refinish and install all forms of furniture, doors and woodwork; perform masonry repairs to ceilings and walls; remove flooring and prepare for new flooring; repair and install faucets, traps, sinks, water closets, urinals, water fountains, electric hot water heaters, sewer drain lines, water supply lines and shower balance valves; clear obstructions from all fixtures and drains; monitor and bleed hot water heating systems; service and maintain wall mounted or window mounted air conditioning units; give, understand and follow written and oral instructions; communicate clearly and concisely; lift up to 75 pounds; work in varied conditions including hot, cramped and poorly ventilated; and coordinate work with others.
Required License: Valid driver’s license is required.
Comments: Normal work schedule is 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This position is subject to call backs for emergencies and may work an occasional weekend or holiday. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
