This is a temporary position to last up to one year, 100% time (40 hours/week).

Salary Range CG HH: $15.25 – $22.42/hour
Job Responsibilities: Provide support to the water research group in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering by independently collecting, testing and analyzing water and other related samples to determine the physical, chemical and bacteriologic components.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of: Basic chemical principles and fundamental analytical chemistry theories; research and laboratory practices; computer software applications and systems.
Ability to: Operate and maintain instrumentation; define and measure quality metrics; report results; collect, test and analyze water and other related samples; collect samples from various locations; analyze samples using laboratory equipment; record all findings; produce reports; utilize safe laboratory practices to prevent cross-contamination and inaccurate results; and communicate clearly and concisely.
Required License: Valid driver’s license is required.
Comments: Flexible schedule. This position is classified as a temporary Chemist. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
