TRAINING SPECIALIST – INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN SERVICE

Salary Range CG HH:  $16.12 – $23.03/hour

12 months, 100% time

Job Responsibilities:  Develop and coordinate the delivery of training offered by IDS.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of: Educational technology; training and development; principles, methods and techniques of adult learning; effective use of instructional media; teaching methods and principles; individual and group behavior; and applicable computer software and applications.

Ability to:  Design and develop training courses that are relevant and enhance job skills and professional development for a wide range of participants; present information and material in an interesting and challenging manner; organize and maintain records and appropriate documentation; apply applicable department policies during training; evaluate individual and/or group instructional needs; communicate sufficiently to teach adults; maintain proficiency in subject matter taught; understand current instructional technologies and emerging technologies; and communicate clearly and concisely.

Comments:  Experience in higher education and working with adults is needed. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
